The ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon® is proud to support and cooperate with various local, national and international charities. Runners can choose from an array of charities, allowing for thousands of dollars to be raised each year using the ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon® and ancillary events as a medium to do so. One of the strongest charity programs associated with the event is the ING Run For Something Better Orange Laces.

Join the Orange Laces Nation and Support Children's Fitness!

In Miami, more than 11,000 students took part in a special running program throughout Miami-Dade middle schools and more than 5,000 completed 26.2 miles over 15 weeks because of the ING Run For Something Better. This year, we are inviting our participants to join the Orange Laces Nation Team and support this amazing program that continues to improve children's lives through fitness.

By joining Orange Laces Nation you will be helping us raise funds to support running programs like the one in Miami and helping to stop childhood obesity in its tracks. Different funding levels will provide you with different rewards including special edition shirts, running caps, ING sports watches and even access to a VIP hospitality tent. As little as $10 will get you a pair of orange laces to wear while running that will show you are tied to supporting kids' fitness!

Created 23 years ago, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team in Training (TNT), has grown to be the world's largest and most successful endurance sports charity training program. Since 1988, when the first team of TNT marathoners was formed, the program has helped more than 540,000 people achieve their dream of completing a marathon, half marathon, triathlon, 100-mile (century) bicycle ride or hike adventure, and those participants have raised a remarkable $1.2 billion.

Every day, in parks, gyms, and tracks all over the world, Achilles provides athletes with disabilities with a community of support. Able-bodied volunteers and disabled runners come together to train in an environment of support and community.

		Can't Stomach Cancer www.cantstomachcancer.org			Can't Stomach Cancer. The Foundation of Debbie's Dream is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing funding for stomach cancer research, providing education and support for patients and their families, and creating awareness about the disease. Per cancer death, stomach cancer receives the least amount of federal funding but we would like to change that, help patients, and find a cure for this dreadful and forgotten disease.

	Team Emunah www.emunah.org	Join Team Emunah for its first annual ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon! As a participant you will be supporting the lives of more than 200 children born to families with severe emotional, social and economic problems who have been provided with a comfortable and secure home at Emunah's Bet Elazraki in Netanya, Isreal.

	Family Resource Center www.frcflorida.org	For over 30 years, Family Resource Center of South Florida (FRC) has been dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect through the strengthening of families. In the past year, Family Resource Center provided services to more than 2,5000 children, adolescents and adults in Miami-Dade County. We are assembling a team of participants for the 2012 ING Miami Marathon® on January 29, 2012. Everyone who commits to run with our team and to raise at least $200 will receive a commemorative Marathon singlet that will be available exclusively to members of the FRC team. The money you raise will go to Family Resource Center of South Florida to continue to provide care to abused and neglected children.

	The Friendship Circle https://friendshipcircle.com/marathonmiami	The Friendship Circle is an international nonprofit organization which pairs teenage volunteers with special needs children, cultivating friendships between them. Our programs and services provide support to the children and their families, as well as advocate an appreciation of those with special needs to the outside world.

	Genesis Foundation www.genesis-foundation.org	The Genesis Foundation enables underserved children in Colombia and in Latino communities in the United States to have a brighter future by providing them with quality education and the tools to succeed.

	HELP, Inc. www.helpinclaw.com	Since 1994 HELP has provided a full range of free legal services to those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS in Miami Dade County living below the poverty line. HELP ensures that people are treated with dignity and have full access to their civil and legal rights as well as public benefits. HIV/AIDS does not discriminate but all too often society does. HELP's advocacy on behalf of marginalized communities such as gay men, women of color, and their families has ensured that justice is available to all.

	The Kakuma Project www.kakuma-ms.com/	The Kakuma Project, in partnership with the UNHCR, is committed to providing access to education to the approximately 10,000 adolescent girls living in the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Northern Kenya. When given the proper resources, women and young girls have the power to improve their lives and also those of the children, families and communities around them. The money you raise will be used to develop the first high school for girls offering hope and protection to the most vulnerable of refugees.

	National Hospice Foundation www.runtoremember.org	NHF's Run to Remember program supports hospice care nationally and locally. Participants select any local hospice program to receive 50% of the funds they raise. Also, participants run in memory of a loved one whose name is printed on the back of the shirt we send to them.

	His House Children's Home www.hhch.org	His House Children's Home is a private, non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to restoring the joy in lives of children from newborn to 18 years of age. Established in 1989 by Jean Caceres-Gonzalez, the agency provides residential care for abused, neglected and drug exposed children in a home-liking campus setting.

	The Blue Card Fund www.bluecardfund.org 212.239.2251	The Blue Card, a national non-profit organization established in 1939, is dedicated to providing financial assistance to needy Holocaust survivors in the United States. It provides both long-term ongoing support as well as emergency grants for basic human needs. Help is given in the form of cash grants issued directly to the client or to the provider of vital goods and services. Grants are made for health care, dental care, crisis and ongoing psychotherapy, heath insurance, prescription drugs, personal emergency response system, housing, transportation, food and various one-time emergencies.

Green, M.D. and NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Nick Buoniconti helped found The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis after Nick's son, Marc, sustained a spinal cord injury during a college football game. Today, The Miami Project is the world's most comprehensive spinal cord injury research center, in the Lois Pope LIFE Center, a Center of Excellence at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. The Miami Project's international team of more than 200 scientists, researchers and clinicians take innovative approaches to the challenge of spinal cord injury.
