ALL finishers will receive the most unique finisher's medal ever designed for runners.
Please note: To our knowledge, the Miami Marathon® was the first race in the world to have a spinning medal. It is now the first to have a double spinner. The spinning medal idea originated at our race in 2004.
*Please not that all age group awards are based on B-Tag time, NOT gun time. Course records and prize money will be determined according to gun time.

Once we have received your Elite Athlete Application form, our Elite Athlete Coordinator will contact you or your designated representative to discuss your eligibility. APPLICATION DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 16, 2012. Letter of acceptance will be sent out via email by November 30, 2012.

• The Miami Marathon uses the ChronoTrack B-Tag timing system supplied and administered by Splitsecondtiming.com.
• All participants will receive a ChronoTrack B-Tag attached to their bib number when they receive their packet at the Nissan Health & Fitness Expo presented by The Miami Herald & El Nuevo Herald.
• The ChronoTrack B-Tag can be disposed of after the race and does not need to be returned.
• Participants MUST wear their ChronoTrack B-Tag. NO tag, NO time.

***** Athletes who participate in this competition may be subject to formal drug testing in accordance with USATF and IAAF rules, in accordance with USOC, USADA, or IAAF procedures. Athletes found, after a disciplinary hearing, to be positive for prohibited substances, as defined by the WADA Code and/or IAAF, or who refuse to be tested, will be disqualified from this event and may lose eligibility for future competitions. Any prize money payable to an athlete who has tested positive shall be withheld until the final disposition of all disciplinary proceedings.
