Run Famous. Run Miami. It's a celebrity experience! Run through a tunnel of a thousand fans, experience ING Cheering Zones and Community Fun Zones, and over 30 entertainment spots with mascots, dancers, bands and special guest celebrities. The course features great support with 24 aid stations (12 on the half) featuring doctors, nurses, and health care professionals from UHealth - University of Miami Health System, water and Gatorade® Endurance Formula. Every finisher gets the Spinning Palm Finisher Medal complete with artistic ribbon and the famous "Spinning Palm." Celebrate with thousands at our Post Race Festival with live music, food, drinks and age group awards going 5 deep for 13 age groups in the marathon and 14 age groups in the half.

    Media Parking on Race Morning (PARKING PASSES NECESSARY)

    Limited parking is available for media covering the events. All media vehicles looking to park near the start or finish line must have a race credential for parking to gain access.

    TV/remote/mobile Media at Start Line: For media with video equipment and vehicles that desire access to the Start Line at American Airlines Arena, the following route should be used to get to Biscayne Boulevard and NE 8th Street.


    From I-95 or street level, media must check in at the police post on NE 8th Street and  NE 2nd Avenue in order to advance to the Start Line on Biscayne Boulevard.

    Media Parking (Stationary): For media parking on site for the duration of the race, parking will be available at Lot 19 Section 2. This location is on Biscayne Blvd. between NE 3rd and NE 4th Street. 

    Media should approach this lot using NE 5th Street heading towards Biscayne Blvd. and make a right. Access to this lot remains open but media is strongly encouraged to arrive no later than 5:30 AM. Alternative parking may be available at Bayside Marketplace or in Downtown at public lots.

    Members of the media interested in obtaining any event or sponsors logos may submit a request. Please identify which event(s) or sponsor logos you need and filetypes. We also have a large archive of race and running images, B-roll and other media that can be used in different mediums. Please send an email to fruiz@usroadsports.com with any requests for logos, images or B-roll.


    RACE DAY PHOTOS
    We have high-resolution images from the 2009 and 2010 races available upon request. Just let us know the story you are developing and we’ll find the images you need from our extensive visual image library. For photos for editorial use, please send an email request with your name, media affiliation, editorial use and planned publish date to fruiz@usroadsports.com.

    Media credentials are required by all photographers and videographers wishing to capture or film any part of the 2011 ING Miami Marathon & Half Marathon or the Tropical 5K.

    EVENT LOGOS, IMAGES, B-ROLL
    Members of the media interested in using event logos, images or B-roll may submit a request. Please identify which event or sponsor logo(s) along with filetype required.

    Images from previous years events or images of athletes can be requested from our archive as well. Please identify what type of image you would like (landscape, crowd, finish line) including orientation, preferred size and filetype. B-roll may also be requested from previous year's events in different formats.  Please submit all requests with enough time to fruiz@usroadsports.com

    RACE DAY RESULTS
    Publications and sites looking to publish results may request AGATE files. We will try to fulfill all requests and results will be updated on race morning. Please send an email request by January 16 with your name, media affiliation, planned use and what results information you will need to fruiz@usroadsports.com.

    MEDIA CREDENTIALS
    Media Credentials are required to obtain access in restricted areas of the 2011 ING Miami Marathon & Half Marathon race course and start/finish staging area. Media Credential applications will be posted by December 1 and can be returned to specialtysports@mindspring.com .
