Run through a tunnel of a thousand fans, experience Cheering Zones and Community Fun Zones, and over 30 entertainment spots with mascots, dancers, bands and special guest celebrities. The course features great support with 24 aid stations (12 on the half) featuring doctors, nurses, and health care professionals, water and Gatorade® Endurance Formula. Every finisher gets the Spinning Palm Finisher Medal complete with artistic ribbon and the famous "Spinning Palm." Celebrate with thousands at our Post Race Festival with live music, food, drinks and age group awards going 5 deep for 13 age groups in the marathon and 14 age groups in the half.

It takes over 2,500 volunteers to "Run" the ING Miami Marathon & Half Marathon and all its associated events. Volunteers are needed to help with the packet pick-up at the expo, fill in as course spotters, distribute water at the aid stations, handout finisher medals, and in the many other areas that make up the Marathon Race Weekend!

Volunteer Recruitment has already begun for the 2013 ING Miami Marathon & Half Marathon®. This year marks our historic 10th annual race and we want to make it the best one yet. Be on the lookout for the new 2013 sign up process. The new web based program allows for direct online sign-ups, group management for volunteer group leaders and best of all a online waiver submission.

Volunteer VIP

Also new for this year is the Volunteer VIP reward program that will recognize the best volunteers and volunteer groups during the ING Miami Marathon & Half Marathon®. More information on both programs will be coming in the next couple weeks.
