Call it entertainment or call it a mini festival on the course, in 2008 participants will experience a new program called ING Community Fun Zones. We have reached out to community groups on the course to get involved and support our runners and they have responded. Participants will be treated to the sights and sounds of Jimmy Buffett courtesy of our local Parrot Head Club, the colors of the Caribbean with the Trinbago Village, and more from other exciting groups along the second half of the course!

The Running Man Project features male and female statues sponsored by various groups and individuals and designed by the talented students at MIU. Under the guidance of faculty member Ramon Fernandez-Bofill, six students created these works of art as a class project. The funds raised through the Running Man Project are for the continued support of FIT Miami Foundation initiatives like the ING Run for Something Better and to offer scholarships to art students at the university.

POST RACE PARTY AND AWARDS CEREMONY PRESENTED BY PRESIDENTE LIGHT
This year, runners and walkers will be celebrated in a whole new way. Rather than sitting around and waiting for your awards medal, Cocowalk and Presidente Light Beer invite you to come out with your friends and family for a post race celebration and awards ceremony in world famous Coconut Grove. Besides giving runners their age group awards, you will get a chance to celebrate your marathon with free beer, live music and food sampling from Yogurbella, Bice Grand Café, MariNalli Quesadillas and other local restaurants.
Bring your race bib or finisher medal to get in and celebrate with us and hundreds of finishers at Cocowalk from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Sunday, January 27.
