The ING Miami Half Marathon® is certainly becoming a favorite for runners throughout the world. Many come for the course as it is fast and dramatically inspiring. Runners of the ING Miami Half Marathon® will start together with their friends running the ING Miami Marathon® and then they will finish at the same finish line. The only deviation occurs in the last 800 meters of the race.
| ING Miami Half Marathon® Date & Time: Sunday, January 30, 2011 6:05 AM (EST) wheelchair participants 6:15 AM (EST) half marathon *The ING Miami Half Marathon® will start together with the ING Miami Marathon® **The 2011 ING Miami Half Marathon® is WALKER FRIENDLY. The course will remain open for 3 hours and 30 minutes (16 minute/mile pace). Finish line is open for 4 hours. All participants need to be in the runner corrals no later than 5:55 AM. Corrals will close at that time. Start corrals will not be labeled with bib numbers this year, but rather with corresponding letter & color. |

ING Miami Half Marathon® Medals & Awards:
| ALL finishers will receive the most unique finisher’s medal ever designed for runners. Please note: To our knowledge, the ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon® was the first race in the world to have a spinning medal. It is now the first to have a double spinner. The spinning medal idea originated at our race in 2004. If you need your award medal mailed to you please CLICK HERE for the Awards Request form. |
Awards
If you are not present at the awards ceremony to receive your award, shipping and handling charges will apply if you request award to be mailed. We ask that you pick-up your award at the awards ceremony to avoid having to send via mail.
*Please note that all age group awards are based on ChampionChip time, NOT gun time. However, course records and prize money will be determined according to gun time.
Custom designed Miami-Style medals will be awarded 3 deep in each division for the ING Miami Half Marathon. The divisions are as follows:
