The Miami Half Marathon® is certainly becoming a favorite for runners throughout the world. Many come for the course as it is fast and dramatically inspiring. Runners of the Miami Half Marathon® will start together with their friends running the Miami Marathon® and then they will finish at the same finish line. The only deviation occurs in the last 800 meters of the race.

Sunday, February 2, 2014

6:05 AM (EST) wheelchair participants
6:15 AM (EST) half marathon

*The Miami Half Marathon® will start together 
  with the Miami Marathon®

The course will remain open for 3 hours and 30 minutes
(16 minute/mile pace). Finish line is open for 4 hours.

All participants need to be in the runner corrals no later than 5:55 AM. Corrals will close at that time. Start corrals will not be labeled with bib numbers this year, but rather with corresponding letter & color.

Miami Half Marathon® Medals & Awards:

ALL finishers will receive the most unique finisher’s medal ever designed for runners.

Please note: To our knowledge, the Miami Marathon and Half Marathon® was the first race in the world to have a spinning medal. It is now the first to have a double spinner. The spinning medal idea originated at our race in 2004.


    
 

Awards

If you were one of the top five finishers in your age group category for the half marathon please complete the Age Group Awards Form. We will mail your age group award or you can pick it up.

*Please note that all age group awards are based on B-Tag time, NOT gun time. However, course records and prize money will be determined according to gun time.

Custom designed medals will be awarded 5 deep in each division.

ING Half Marathon® Timing and Scoring:

  • The Miami Half Marathon® use the ChronoTrack B-Tag timing system supplied and administered by Splitsecondtiming.com.
  • All participants will receive a ChronoTrack B-Tag attached to their bib number when they pick up their packet at the Nissan Health & Fitness Expo presented by The Miami Herald/El Nuevo Herald. 
  • The ChronoTrack B-Tag can be disposed of after the race and does not need to be returned.
  • Participants MUST wear their ChronoTrack B-Tag. NO tag, NO time.
  • ChronoTrack B-Tag mats will be placed at the start, 10K point and finish line.
  • Tags for the ING Marathon and Half Marathon® will not work at the Tropical 5K.
