AVIS "We Try Harder" Award

Together with the ING Miami Marathon®, Avis is calling for nominations for the Avis "We Try Harder" award. Avis will honor athletes who best demonstrate the "We Try Harder" spirit by overcoming obstacles or challenges in order to compete in this year's marathon. Two winners will be chosen to receive a prestigious Tiffany & Co. trophy.

"With a competition of this magnitude, every competitor who enters displays significant strength and dedication," said Becky Alseth, senior vice president of marketing for Avis Budget Group, Inc., parent of Avis. "But this award allows us to honor certain individuals who try even harder."

To be considered for the award, interested participants are asked to explain in 100 words or less how they or someone they know exemplify the Avis "We Try Harder" spirit. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges that includes members of PR Racing and Avis. To nominate an athlete please send an e-mail with the information listed below:
